About

History

At the bottom of Hopton Bank, as the road heads from the medieval village of Cleobury Mortimer towards the summit of Clee Hill and on to Ludlow, the Hopton Crown has offered food, drink and shelter to weary travellers for many centuries.

Having fallen into disrepair the Hopton Crown went into administration in 2017 but was purchased by local couple Andrew and Kate in January 2018 and is emerged in early 2019 from an extensive refurbishment.

Opening Hours

Our dining room is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week.

Dogs

Here at the Hopton Crown we love our four-legged friends. Well-behaved dogs are always welcome in the bar (come and join us for yappy Hour!) and in at least one of our dining areas. Our rooms and Cottages are also pet-friendly. We offer overnight canine guests a comfortable dog bed, water bowl and biscuits. Poo bags and bins are also available on the patio, as well as plenty of green space to go for a walk. We charge £15 per dog per stay as an additional cleaning fee for overnight dog guests.
